How do the Championship Ratings work?

The Basics

  • Like Wrestler Ratings, each Championship starts at 100.00
  • Above-average matches gain points and below-average ones lose them
  • The current rating is a big factor: the higher the Championship Rating, the harder it is to gain points
  • Matches under five minutes, dark matches or pre-show/buy-in matches do not count
  • If the title is not defended in an eligible match for 6 weeks, the title becomes inactive — but when it re-enters, it remembers its rating

How Championship & Wrestler Ratings Work Together

Championship Ratings and Wrestler Ratings work in tandem. The CR acts as an amplifier to the overall points gain or loss for wrestlers:

  • A Championship Rating over 100 in a points gain for wrestlers adds to this gain — showing the prestige of the title
  • But losses are also exaggerated — reflecting the importance of a championship match
